We would like to bring to your attention that Brisbane Super Kings (BSK) Cricket Club has recently joined hands with Queensland Cricket (QC) to formalize multicultural cricket tournaments in Queensland. The main agenda for this partnership is to promote multiculturalism under the banner of Cricket. As majority of the players participating in such tournaments come from Indian origin, we are keen to seek advice, suggestions or recommendations from the Indian Community leaders to reflect the interests of Indian community.
To help support this partnership through Multicultural Cricket Community Forum jointly held by BSK and QC Topics such as, Australian cricket pathway, Sunday T20 competitions, coaching and officials trainings were discussed, among other management and logistics concerns. We aim to provide a basic understanding of BSK’s partnership with QC and how jointly we can create a pathway for players from Indian Origin (with an ambition of taking cricket as a profession) to enter the Australian Cricket team. We also brought together a range of people representing various organizations in our community, players and cricket enthusiasts to maximize our efforts and reach.
